Luigi and Linda, born in Brooklyn and
Queens, New York, moved to North Port,
Florida, in 2003. They soon felt there
was a need in the area for a small,
comfortable Italian eatery.
True to his Sicilian roots Luigi has been
giving people the authentic taste of
Italian cuisine in the neighborhood since
2005. His philosophy is uncomplicated:
Make good, simple food, serve it in
generous portions and offer it with warm
Italian hospitality.
Luigi's “from scratch” preparation is used
from his tempting dishes to his
homemade gelato.
At Cafe Gelato, a true family
establishment, you can enjoy the
lasagna your grandmother used to make
or the pastries your neighbors used to
bring to your home.

right here using special

are family heirlooms.

We do catering on and off
the premises, and we can
handle a private party of
up to 40 people right here
or 300 elsewhere.

cakes, cookies, biscotti,

available to select charity

Meet the Baker
Arianna Ammirato is the daughter following her
parents’ passion for feeding others. Since attending
Johnson and Wales University, she uses the same
principles to make all the special Italian pastries and
cookies while working with her parents.
